spianamento san sebastiano

The mayor of Diano, Ezio Cardinale, announced the new jobs that will involve the Spianamento San Sebastiano, the “door” of the Langa del Sole

The historic building which became the property of the Municipality of Diano d’Alba, situated in a panoramic position has been the subject of restoration work within the framework of the great Langa del Sole project (read our in-depth information What is the Langa del Sole?)

A project funded by the CRC Foundation, and hosted the “Servaj festival” in September, an event dedicated to the circuit of the Langhe municipalities. An elevator will soon be installed, for the necessary reduction of architectural barriers. In addition there will be improvements and embellishments in the garden area and interventions will be carried out on the windows of the complex, in such a way as to make the building more efficient with regard to the energy yield.

Another novelty for the Spianamento concerns the installation inside an office as headquarters of the Unesco association for the wine landscapes of Langhe Roero and Monferrato.

“It would be a prestigious recognition for our municipality and a push to increase tourism in the Langhe,” says Cardinale, interviewed by the Corriere di Alba Bra Langhe and Roero. A veritable ceremony of inauguration dedicated to the population of Diano is being evaluated, perhaps in the spring, following the completion of these works. Thanks to funds from the Langa del Sole project (one million euros for all the works planned in the network of centers involved) we will be able to achieve a demanding re-structuring, otherwise very difficult for a country like ours ».
